I have a pair of straight through rear sections that generate a decent amount of noise!

Ive got a pair of Tubi style back boxes. I took them off my 4200 before it went so they are just sat in the cellar at the moment.

Can the mods not block these scammers that are appearing of late??

Sadly, with masked IP addresses and VPNs, the scammer game has got at lot trickier over the last year or so, which is why you see more posts from the Mods asking new members for details. Before this it was pretty simple, you’d reverse look up the IP, see it was located in Lagos and ban them, now everyone has the same IP.

So it’s far from perfect and comes down to everyone doing what they can to spot them and report them, which a lot of members are doing.

The other reason you see more posts like this is we have blocked new users from the PM system, so they are now operating in plain sight. Which at least means we can act on them when they break cover.

Cool sounds good. Is there maybe a button we could introduce to flag a post to you mods to lessen your load reading every thread?

Certainly can if they live in Australia it seems.
Scammers, bots and irritants are all good at finding their way through the best of defences, regardless of whether they're based out of Russia, China, North Korea or the world's biggest open-air prison, Australia. It's like a game of whack-a-mole. Just ask anyone who specialises in IT security and they'll tell you that it's a constant fight to defend against and weed out trouble.

To address the point you appear to be making, Phil, a ban is a ban, and banned people trying to regain access to the forum via new profiles, pretending to be someone else, will also be deleted.

Now, as far as I can tell this is a thread about making Loz's car even better. Let's crack on with that, please.

As a mod in the other place, I concur. It's bloody hard to stop them getting through with the tools available. The only way I can do it on FB is to ask a load of questions (which AI is getting better at answering) and then ban new members from posting.

And, per @Felonious Crud this takes time...
