Seal of flexible conduit was the issue on my 4200. Also the seams are not the best finish.

Back in the day I had a very early 3200 (about chassis number 60) and water came into the boot. Never managed to fix it, though I assumed Maserati did as production improved.

However, the leak into the boot of one of my QP V's was from the seal of the flexible conduit (top left of the boot), just as Catman had on his 4200. So maybe this is the best place to start looking.

I know I'm not being helpful when I say this but be thankful that you have a spare wheel!

However checking seals is my first port of call. A friend once tried this trick, using a cardboard boxes and tissue paper make platform inside the boot to see where the it's coming in from. Using a hose, pour water onto the roof so that it gently drains away down the gullies around the boot. You won't have to do this long and once the water has drained, open the boot and hey presto the leak will be revealed. If no leaks then it's seeping in from somewhere else.

My understanding from Emblem is the water enters the boot of the 3200 and 4200 from under the hinge plates. They need to be removed and sealant applied before refitting.

My QP water leak was thought to be the aforementioned conduit, but now appears to the the rubber seal.

I found the location by thoroughly drying it all out, pressure washing all over and then seeing which specific bit of the boot lining was wet. Then removing all the lining, shutting someone small in the boot and pressure washing that area again. I did buy some of the UV dye that shows up with a 'black light' but it was useless.

Hoping that replacing the seal will work.

I had the same issue with my 42, problem was where the plastic wheel compartment (boot floor) was bolted to the car, water was forced passed the rubber seal & through the bolt holes, removed, cleaned & sealed with flexible sealant. seemed to do the trick, assume the 32 has the same floor arrangement.

I had water in the boot and it was the rubber seal, at the top of the boot. I found that the boot itself had moved on the hinge adjusters and was not sitting right against the seal. I loosened the boot attachment bolts and spent an afternoon resetting the boot position and this cured it. I did move the rubber seal a bit too and so a combination of these two fixed my boot and its been good for years now. Can't remember if the bolts on the floor where the spare tyre is were leaking its possible.

I had the same problem on my 3200 GTA, all I had to do was put some thick duct tape under the boot lid seal and I have had no problems since.

Just discovered a puddle of water in mine. Having not had that part of the boot open in a while I've no idea how long it's been sat there. I've removed the trim and just given the rusted screws a bit of WD40 so I can see what lurks beneath. No obvious ingress from the top down yet the wooden panel to the left is saturated. When I removed the foam panel the water drained off somewhere via a small hole. Any advice what I should be looking for and where I need to seal up much appreciated. Fwiw the car isn't garaged.

Do you mean this part? Which parts did you seal?

Rained heavily past two days and water has returned so obviously not coming from underneath. Have thrown down some cat litter to dry up any residue and hopefully give a better indication where it is tracking from.
