Today I washed the car, dried it off and polished with Autoglym Super Resin Polish.
The dumb question now is, do I need to wax it for protection?

Super resin polish is a light cutting polish so yes, you can use a sealer over the top if you wish. I use Harleys but anything with Sealer on will do.

Autoglym do an Extra Gloss Protection that is a sealer if you want to stay on brand. Prob available at Halfords.

Didn’t know that & thanks for the tip.

I like Autoglym products, particularly their Aquawax. It’s really easy to apply and gives a great result without a lot of effort! Doesn’t give the same high gloss sealed effect that you’re seeking, but I don’t mind that because, in my experience, it’s usually all over - for anyone that uses their cars regularly - as soon as there’s a downfall and a few puddles / mud on the road.

SRP is full of fillers , you want a Wax OR Sealant over the top of it to protect your hard work.
Might as get one of the more modern Si02 or Graphene products if your going to buy something new

OMG! This morning's Sahara rain storm has covered the very clean car with a light dusting of orange sand. That'll teach me to clean the car in 'Summer'. :as001 (2):
