Hi all
Had my car a little over a month now apart from windows not really any big problems until i take it to a garage for service (some one I know and trust). Not main dealer. But has all necessary equipment to carry the job out. so back to the wheels as he was giving the car a good looking over taking of the wheels he noticed as it was impossible to miss a very bad repair and this had craked through which was letting out air but I just thought I had a slow puncture.
Question 1. Should you weld a aloy wheel
2. As I bought this car from a dealer not mentioning names they said the car had been through a check from the garage that's next to them again no names. Should this be there responsibility under warranty
3. If I have to get a wheel myself anyone have a spare second hand one for sale

1, Not really
2, You can try but they may claim you damaged the wheel and it was fine when checked
3, If you can find one!...GS wheels = like unicorn poo.

That is really disappointing, we know which garage.
GS wheels are prone to cracking unfortunately.
If you are using your GS a lot, consider a set of alternative wheels, and keep a look out for an odd GS wheel to make up the set for the future?

Worth going back to the dealer and see how you get on....You haven't had it long so you may get lucky on this one, we will just have to see how much goodwill they feel like giving up....

All 4200 wheels are prone to this. They may not have noticed as most GS's have been selling fast recently. As has been said given them a ring and politely ask what they can do. They may have a used wheel for an exchange.

On another matter does your mechanic really have the diagnostic equipment to service the car?
