Mine came from Autoshield. Worth giving them a shout. From memory a lot less than likes of Larini. Had a bit of resonance about 2-2.5k but opening the window to hear them sorted that anyway!
Think they do different levels of loud.

My local stainless exhaust fabricator made me a set for my 3200 for about £200. I'm going to get them to make the same up for my 4200 shortly.. Any half competent exhaust specialist should be able to make some.

Don't see why not. I'll go and get a quote in the next week and let you know how much...

I don't know how fussy you are about the "design".. For the 3200 I went for a straight pipe section with a bolt on "dual exit" finisher to make it look authentic. I know some people go to great lengths to split the actual pipe.. but I don't see the point... it just makes it more expensive.

Yep sounds good to me .
As long as they have hangers, are made of stainless steel and i can just clamp them onto the existing mid pipe ill be happy with that . Let me know the cost . That would be great , thanks ;)

Do you mean they will use something like this? :

They ll save a load of weight aswell . My standard boxes weigh a tonne

Autoshield did mine for the 3200 and they were fantastic, such a huge improvement and a reasonable price too

That's the chappy.

The ones I had on my 3200 were asymmetric, so one side of the dual finisher stuck out more than the other.. so it followed the curvature of the bumper like the originals. I'd go for the same this time as well to keep it as original looking as possible.

In fact here's an old video of my 3200 straight throughs. You can see the tips and what they look like..

Mie has straight through rears, Josh did them ages ago and has done RSM's too. I went for the quad tips stock look. Here's mine

You can see the tips change

I went for new tips, not sure on the dimensions but the look like this
I opted to have them stick out the back a bit, to stop the water drips running under the car on the rear diffuser which you can see in the picture. The original quicksilver boxes never hung right on that side.

Bit Chinese - Whung-hung-low

The whole system like Phil's is straight through

Tempting Mark, Do you think they would be any cheaper if a few other people want some?

I'm sure it's a possibility.. I guess the only issue at the moment is time as we're getting them done on Monday.

The other caveat is of course is that ours are hand made cars, and whilst mine is being used as a template, that there may be the odd difference car to car and without having yours on site to measure up you might need to tweak the resulting pipes to fit perfectly.

Having said that.. I guess it's no different to buying some Larinis off the shelf.. there's no guarantee they'll bolt straight on without some fettling.. and they're a lot more expensive!

I guess if people are interested they should list their names on here and I can go to the chaps at the garage and get some price break points.

Cheers

I would be up for a set in the case the price drops a little, and i really need to hear a sample of a 4200 with those boxes. Last but not least, any info if we have a chance of choosing the pipes.
