Agree Martin......certainly not saying Bottas isn't a great driver but just feel that if he hasn't won the title by now I'm not sure he will. Certainly not in Lewis's shadow anyway.

The world is in a state of flux as is F1, and the new regs for 2021 will only exacerbate that. If Mercedes want another championship the safest option is to keep the status quo, assuming that Toto Wolff is still onside - if it ain't broke don't fix it. Succession planning should be part of daily business anyway, and I'm sure that plenty of discussions will be had along the way.

Bottas is a hugely capable driver, and he's younger than Hamilton so all is not lost if he wants a title.

The new regs have been postponed to 2022 so Ferrari is stuck with the 'dawdling donkey' to quote DC for another season unless they find another 'loophole' in which to cheat, I mean gain advantage.

I think Merc are waiting to see what Hamilton decides to do. It would make sense for them to keep Bottas as an experienced driver and bring in someone like Russell once Hamilton hangs up his helmet. Looks like Lewis has this year tied up and I can see him doing another season to get 8 titles.

That's my view, Bottas is a great driver with loads of experience but I'm sure Lewis will hang around for that 8th title after all he has just about every other record or he will have by the end of the year

Lewis will go for ten championships, and why not he's 35 now and will get his 7th this year. 8,9 and 10 could come by his 39th birthday. It's just up to the rest to get their sh!t together.

Must say today Bottas didn't show what he was made off today. Couldn't make any inroads into Norris after the restart. Great race and alexia again to go from 23 seconds behind the back of the grid to 7th just brilliant. So good to see the youngsters on the podium.

I believe he was a consultant to the company so good question. Would he want to be?

I heard over the weekend that there are some big meetings this week at Williams and that a new "interim" mgmt structure will be out in place, I really hope they get the support they deserve only time will tell.

I think they'll promote from within on the interim basis and then have a long term plan in place for the end of the season.

At the end of the day, Dorilton are only in it to make more money that what they bought it for. That includes the cash they'll spend on getting them back to the front, plus a 'decent' return on investment.
