Hi All, Iam in the market for a grancabrio, just a quick insight , I like the look of a main agent car advertised in yellow is it wise to stick to grey , silver, black or go with the yellow, what about re sale value etc??? Also does any one know any history etc on the car they seem very rare in this colour (its for sale in a preston maserati main agent) thanks :)

Welcome. I think that the yellow is excellent. Of course resale will be harder but if you buy a used car at the right price then it should net out.

Think I've seen the car at Bowker, and it looks fantastic to me. If you like it buy it. I don't think the colour will harm the value as such, you might just have to wait a bit longer for another buyer who wants one in yellow. There is no shortage of fans of the yellow ones on here......

By buying a GranCab you are making a statement. By buying a yellow GranCab you are making a bigger statement. Go for it, life's too short not to!

Just to offer some balance, I wouldn't buy it. I think the Grancabrio looks great in very classy colours like bronze and dark metallic blue etc. You'd never see a soave Italian with a fine suit and Gucci loafers arrive in a yellow one at the Hotel de Paris. I don't think it needs yellow to be stand out.

Just saying.

Only downside is I seem to attract alot of attention with the police. I'm sure it has nothing to do with the speed I'm doing.....
Yeah right!

But seriously though, as Rwc13 says, hopefully it won't affect resale value too much, and at worst just affects the time to find a buyer (if selling it privately later on).
Having said that, as BennyD says, go for it - life's too short to worry about it :D

Yellow is for Lambo's - brash - in your face - look at me and my teeni weenie penis :lol2:
Yellow is for banana's.
Yellow is for coward's.
And it will DEFINITELY affect the resale price because you have just alienated 70% of the marketplace.
IF you have money to throw around - fine. If it is your life's savings - you'd be mentally retarded to buy it.

There - you have a broad overview now :baffle:

I quite like yellow on some cars, and I've had a yellow Ferrari 355 Spyder and a yellow Diablo 6.0lt in my youth. But a yellow Maserati GT? No thank you. It's all wrong for a Maserati.

I guess some models work suit some colours better than others, but Lambos in particular seem to suit yellow rather nicely :D

I used to have a yellow Evo V, it was the second best car I've ever had.

I've got more than one screw loose and there's a few that have come out over the years. :)
