YouTuber Dadcars does a feature on 'flappy paddle boxes'... and it's rather good imho

I loved my Coupe Cambiocorsa. And so Nice to just hop in on a rainy day, and drive normally and with style in auto mode. People think you should lift off the accellerator when you expect it to shift gears. That is completely wrong. The system does that perfectly for you. So just keep the accellerator still while accellerating. Cool video.

Pretty much spot on that. I do like his videos and his enthusiasm and sincerity comes across well on screen.
Plus the odd introduction to the daughter in each video is a master stroke and all about saying to the wives out there , ( see babes, I know it costs a lot but she enjoys it too soo much and we cant deprive our little treasure of one of her main treats and just think about it) , it cost less than upkeeping a pony and all that goes with it

Thats debateable an open to conjecture, driving in auto mode without doubt shortens clutch life .............

I've enjoyed all his videos that I've watched. Although his mates GT isn't helping with reliability reputation. He's either got a bit of a lemon, or is being convinced to spend money on it that doesn't necessarily need spending.

My GT clutch has now done 43,750 miles and is showing 35% worn.
The vast majority, probably 40,000 miles, has been done in full auto mode.

Yes that’s my only gripe. I do recall him in a previous video saying about spending like £12k on it in his first year of ownership. Regular occurrence for those too tight to PPI a car.

I've just got to persuade him that my 4200 is the next logical step in his trading down series lol

Although seeing her yesterday in the sun.... it's gonna kill me eventually seeing it go.

I think it is a great gearbox, but then I also like the Aston Martin SportsShift.

I have said it before and will say it again, imagine MC-Shift came first and that is what you always knew and someone then came along and suggested to you a conventional manual with the need to move a stick and press a pedal at the same time. You would think them quite mad.

There’s a time and a place for both I think. Immensely enjoy my manual 360 on the right road at the right time.
Equally enjoy the MC-shift when touring or just commuting.

Nicely put. I enjoy driving Mrs C's manual Giulietta, but I am under no illusions that a flappy box can do the job better

I think that naming the non-manual mode 'Auto' was a mistake as most drives assumed it would drive like a typical slush box... however, I have no idea what they would call the mode otherwise.
