In no particular order. Sorry for dwelling on the Shamal, but it was glorious and pristine.

Oh and the Karif belongs to Marios.

Shamal is just mental!
The Karif, it's not the one for sale by Dicky is it? Just putting 2 and 2 together?

Edit: No it's not, noticed its LHD!

The Shamal really was something to behold. I'd buy it in a heartbeat. The Karif is Marios's pride and joy. IIRC he considers it his favourite, and given his collection that's saying something.

That yellow QP (black interior by the way, not the one with blue interior that was mentioned on here a while back) is, I was told by Keith from the Maserati Club, the one that was owned by Drummond Bone and is now owned by someone from Bill McGrath's. It was presented to concours standard and same as Ferrari yellow; looks very good in the metal. I think I was the only other QP there (mine not in the pics as I left at lunchtime)- well not counting the Prescott Clerk of the course who had a silver QP parked down at the start line. It was a good social meet and static display but not a real spectator motor sport event. If they do the same next year I will go again. It was a joint meeting and as you'd imagine, the Maseratis (50 or so I think) were well outnumbered by the Jag E types (but they were almost as good :) ). Generation thing: I much preferred the older ones! The red 3500 Vignale open top in pic 2 was gorgeous and must be worth a fortune – last I saw was up for 300K.

Thought I recognised it. I saw it at Bill McGrath's on Friday. Not a retiring auto :)

Yeah...Marios's Karif, has done a ridiculously low mileage.....minter too

Did anyone actually drive the hill or what happened?

It was a Maserati Club event (jointly with E Type Register); members could sign up to do the hill climb, there was a cost I think it was about £30 for 5 runs (someone may correct me), in addition to the £20 to get in, but you did not have to be a member to be there (that last question was asked on here before the event and no one responded so I just turned up!). The hill climbs weren't timed though so it was just a drive - there were marshals and first aid, but no timekeepers. I didn't do it (I'm not a Maserati Club member) but if it's anything like Shelsley Walsh, which I have done on a similar day with the MDC, in the drivers briefing you are strongly urged not to give it the full beans, and on a real action day timed run open top cars need more protection than they insisted on here (helmets, for example). Some of those corners are deceptive...I may join the Maserati Club and if they repeat this event would probably go for the hill for a laugh.

Best sounding car up the hill on the day was a Jag XRS, though a Maserati GTS was pretty good too..

Come to think of it, there were no recovery trucks there either, so if you did go off you'd be a tad embarrassed waiting for the RAC van with a tow rope to turn up :)

I was at Prescott the week before for the La Vie en Bleu meeting (which was a competition) and someone did go off at the Esses in to the ditch: it needed the tractor with a crane to get him out - one front wheel was parallel to the ground (ooops)

Great pics, thanks for sharing.

A few rare moderns as well - red Spyder and 2 GS Spyders; never seen one in the burgundy colour - looks like a real gentleman's express.

The Hill was £20 for 5 runs - I paid up but only ended up doing 2 runs. Partly because of the queue and partly because I was happy to hang about and chat and look at the other cars. I'd chalk it up as a good day out for any Maser fan, with cars of all eras so something for all tastes.

Ah, I spotted the Bora (DJM 155) near Oxford last night. Wondered if there had been an event....too far to go for me but would have loved a Trident fix.

Some stunning cars there, the yellow QP is quite a statement car isn't it :) They must have had previous experience with the Shamal and provided spill kits for the drool :D What is not to like about it....

If you want a truthful answer, IMO, the shape of the rear wheel arch. It never did it for me but the rest of the car is lovely.
