Great photos & videos and too bad about the weather although it doesn't appear to have deterred too many. I hope everyone made it home safely too and there weren't too many stranded on hard shoulders

Saw two cars broken down on the way home, one was a newish Audi and the other was fairly new and all :)

I guess it can strike everyone.

From a very young age, we would always go the VW Action at Stoneleigh Park and I remember seeing so many cars broken down on the way home from beetles to campers, types 3 & 4 VWs and all sorts - part of the fun my Dad used to tell me!

Sad times for the guy with the Volvo too, what an awful thing to happen

It can, my 156 decided to spit her diff out a couple of years ago...... on Morrisons roundabout, at 1pm on a Saturday. Thank gawd for the drivers behind me giving me a push!!

Funiest one I have seen was a brand new Audi TT breaking down half a mile from National Alfa day a few years back, they nust have had at least 700 Alfa's drive past them :)

Here's my 3 runs, run 2 and 3 with a misfire after turn 2.
Vid 3 shows Daryl's 164 leaving the start line.

Fabulous day (well not the weather). Nick, please could you pass on my thanks to (I think) Sarah & Ryan who kindly let us sit in their car - Alfa Giulietta - when the heavens opened. Unfortunately I didn't see the at the end of the day to thank them from saving us from drowning.......

Thanks to Andrewbaran's mate Chris on retrorides

A great day interesting cars and plenty of action. Some of which was tragic ie the Volvo fire.

Done that on facebook for you David. Great to see you there and hope the drive back in that weather wasn't too bad for you. That photo nails it on the head completely. Luckily me, Daryl and Iain were in our cars coming down from the last run on the hill when it hit :)

Thanks for that, Nick. Actually we stayed overnight in Malvern last night as well so drove back this morning. With a crash helmet & 'condom suit' (motorcycle overalls) I stayed dry.
Thank you very much for suggesting / organising tickets. Shelsley Walsh is a really attractive/interesting place & we really enjoyed our weekend in Great Malvern. Hopefully will attend in 2016

Well so far so good, found a couple of issues when re-building the carbs and also tuning them back in once I re-fitted them.
Issue number 1 was that ether sides float needles were different sizes
Issue 2 was the float levels in one set was a little low.
Issue 3 when the car was hitting the limiter the fuel pressure dwindles down to less than 0.5psi which was rectified by the regulator. it now sits at 2.8 psi no matter how much rpm is given.
Possible issue 4 with the Facet fuel pump so I still have to check the filter in it.

The car feels like its got a bit more mojo now there is fresh gaskets/accelerator pump diaphragm and has been easier to balance them up. Starts better also.
