So the question should have been: What five-letter 'normal' English word, written in capital letters, looks roughly as if it spells the same when rotated through 180 degrees, depending quite a lot on what font you use?

How about upside down and back to front. I may have mentioned that already?

There's two inversions. One around the horizontal axis (upside down), and one about a vertical axis (back to front)

Anyway.... ;)

OK quick question whilst the discussion of spatial dynamics continues

What happened at the end of the 1967 Le Mans race that has now become common place?

I actually know the answer to this one, and was really surprised to hear that Le Mans was where this happened first. Great question!

I'm guessing that it is wasting good champagne by spraying it around the place.

Certainly was, Dan Gurney was given a bottle after winning the race with AJ Foyt and decided to pop the cork and spray everyone nearby - this is now common place at the end of most motor races.

Back to my question....................
Take a Crayon and a piece of paper
write the word SWIMS in capital letters on the paper
Turn the paper upside down (not over) and it will read SWIMS
(what is a Font anyway) come on chaps shape up

Ah, you mean rotate the item around the plane vertical to the surface, without any translation horizontally. Pedant mode off
