Morning all. Office day today, busy week ahead which involves a trip to Newcastle of Wednesday.
It would appear there is a mountain of paperwork which I have to get done before I go. Whatever happened to the paperless office thing?

No! no car will ever beat me. Its going back together now then off to the paint shop and out the door for sale.
Morning all. Made my epic trip back from The Brecon Beacons and it was hairy although I have to say my 2WD Evoque was epic in the snow. The 4WD community I was up there with said they could not believe it wasn't 4WD as it coped with the snow locked hills without any drama...and they saw me down to the main road expecting to drag me out.
I think although it is 2WD there is some cleaver trickery in there that Land rover have installed, I am most impressed.

Mid-day report from Alex in his new job at e2v "It's f***in brilliant; one meeting with the department boss and he has laid out a plan that sees me moving into the design team in six months!!!"
Anyone knowing the kind of things they are designing at e2v will know why he is that excited! There is plenty of their kit orbiting the cosmos etc.

Good morning all....First week since I left work 4 months ago that I can properly relax. I am going to enjoy this week before. Met the team yesterday which was good...Sh1t load to do but that's exciting....Looking forward to starting next week.
Matt, just a thought before you paint her......Just before I lost my job we looked at a px with the Brera on the diesel scrapage scheme. I seem to remember you mentioned your wife is due a change. There are some good offers out there at the moment and was offered 4K for the car against a new Mini and that just for the car before negotiating the Mini sticker price.... .depends what you go for but had offers from £2500 to £6000 off a car as px.

Another day in the office largely waiting for other people to do things before having 30 minutes of frantic activity with people breathing down my neck. Such is life though.

Morning all. First job of the day was to pop into the local Merc specialist to see what the CEL was on my car. Turns out it's an exhaust sensor.
He asked if I had done many miles since it came up, no was the answer, but did say I was going to Newcastle tomorrow.
He suggested that I get it done before it knackers the EGR so they managed to track down the part and will be fitting it today. Handy that they are 400 yards from the office!
The downside is that it'll probably cost £200, but it's better than the probable 5-600 quid Mercedes would charge!
Other than that theres a shed load of work to do before my trip up north!

A few car related things to do later. Need to get the dash cam windscreen mount off in the Spider. The quality is down on my other cams so it needs to come off. The thing is stuck on pretty well though so I'm going to try dental floss to get it off and then see what I can do about any residue. Probably clean the tail pipes on the Ghibli too.
