I will shortly be selling my Alfa 159 Ti 2.4JTD.

The car is a 57 plate September 2007 model. I'm just in the process of getting it ready for a new owner.

The car has done 70K I have just had the cam belt and water pump done and its booked in for two new tyres next week. The other two tyres have done around 3k so plenty of tread left on them. I have owned it from new.

Full service history with main dealer and Alfa specialist.

I will put the full details up soon but in the meantime feel free to PM me if the car is of interest to any of the forum members.

I would love to keep hold of it but it has to go to make room for the 4200.

Thanks Andy.

yes LincsOSCA I will be sad to see it go. I wish i could keep it but the 4200 is the one car that has tempted me to change it. Its the proper TI spec as well not the cut down version they put on the later models along with being the 2.4 version rather than the 1.9 wimpy version ;)

Mrs SP is taking bets that I wont sell it. She is calling it my first born ! lol

I’m sad to say that my much loved Alfa 159 2.4 TI is now for sale. I have owned the car from new and I can honestly say it’s never put a foot wrong. Passing all its MOT’s at the first time of asking. I simply don’t do enough mileage anymore so have decided to upgrade to a V8. If I could afford to keep both cars I would it’s as simple as that.

Other than services and general wear and tear items and such as tyres, brakes and batteries. The only other items the car has ever required were 2 x window regulators and I changed the upper wishbones when they started to complain of old age.

The car is finished in metallic Carbonio black which does have some minor paint imperfections as you would expect on a car of this age. There is a minor stone chip dent on the bonnet approx. 2mm in size and two minor marks from bird droppings. I have tried to show these in the pictures but they do not show up very well.

The car has been a fantastic car to own and is both a comfortable leggy motorway cruiser and a sporty saloon when the road and mood dictates.

Please feel free to ask any question any inspection and viewings welcome.

Full details
2007 57 Reg Carbonio black (metallic)
1 owner from new
2.4 Diesel, flat 5, 20 valve (210 BHP) in standard guise
4 Door
Mot due 1st September 2015
70,000 miles
Fully Stamped Service History (Alfa Main Dealer and Alfatune)
19” 10 Spoke Alfa TI Alloys
Brembo brakes
Black Electric Heated Memory Sports Leather with red Alfa Logo
Sports multifunction steering wheel
Electric folding heated wing mirrors
Satin Chrome kick plates
TI Brushed chrome interior and trim
Alfa red mood lighting and TI trim details
6 Speed
Electro chromatic rear view mirror
Full auto Climate Control
Cruise Control
Electric windows front and rear with safety lock for rear windows
Automatic lights
Automatic wipers
Original 159 mats
Blue and Me phone and media system. Voice control of telephone and ipod / media drive.
2 x keys
All the original manuals and service book (stamped and up to date) lots of receipts and history

The car benefits from a EGR blank off, Remap and sports DPF. The car produces around 265 BHP and is still capable of +45mpg.

Rear brakes have been done in the last 4000 miles. Front brakes were done at around 55000 miles.

Cam belt and water pump have just been changed along with a window regulator in the last month.

2 new tyres have been fitted on the front and the rear tyres were changed around 5000 miles ago and still have plenty of tread.

I've got a couple of more chances to win a nice amount on the lottery and then I could keep it. The 4200 is softening the blow of selling in the meantime.

The Alfa has had quite a few bids already. There is a grey one thats a 4 months younger than mine but still on a 57 plate with 85k miles up at £7995 so i dont think my reseve is unreasonable.

Hopefully it will go to someone that will enjoy the car as much as I have.

Keep it, they're great cars! I run a 2010 2.4 in red as a daily and drive the Masers for fun. I keep thinking about changing it, but can never find anything that'll replace it without spending too much money. If the new Giulia is as good as the first shots show I might jump into one of those at some point. In the meantime, mine's off for a remap next week.

You wont regret the remap Maf. It transforms them. If you having the DPF delete then fit a racing DPF as well. PM me if you want any details but yours is the later car which was around 60 kgs lighter so should be a little more fuel efficient.

I can get upto 48mpg out of mine and the turbo kicks in around 1400 rpm. I did Manchester to Paisley, back to Manchester and most of the way back to Paisley again on one tank. Something like 615 miles before I filled up and I still had fuel in the tank.

The auction ends this evening so fingers crossed it will go to a good home.

I forgot to list that all 5 glow plugs were changed last September as well . I changed them all when one went faulty.

Did you say you had a 4200 or are looking for one?

I'll shortly be selling my 3200 and would like a black 159Ti to replace it.

I haven't sold the 3200gt yet!

I was offering Kenny the chance to upgrade his choice of Maserati to a 3200, in exchange for his Alfa...

I picked up my 4200 at the end of May. I would love to say i would hold the 159 for you till you had sold yours but I need to release the capital tie up in it. I've put a reasonable reserve on it and the mileage is low for the year so hopefully it will sell this evening.
