Engine Warning Light - Starting Problem

I've finally lost my CEL cherry!

The engine light just flashed up.

My 4200 has had a few problems starting lately when the engine is warm. Which would indicate the temp sensor needs replacing (£14.95 from Eurospares).

Obviously I'll plug in my OBD reader first. Where do. Plug it in????

Not had a proper look yet as I'm off to footy in a bit.

Starting when warm could be temp sensor or rpm/speed sensor which is not as easy or cheap. £600 at a main dealer.

If it's any consolation my drivers side window has become departed from its mechanism, I can now push it up and down by hand...........in the passat!!!

No consolation. I washed, clayed and waxed he Maser yesterday and was looking forward to taking it for a drive tomorrow as we have nothing on.

Oh well, I spoke to her nicely earlier, so hopefully she'll start being nice. :)

I think I might fill my boot full of batteries wired together just in case , it seems to be the only cheap fix

Well. There's a turn up. Plugged the OBD reader in and this came up.

Would this suggest the temp sensor has gone?
