Christ, we need to make a leader board....that you'll top no doubt!

Collector card on our profile pages of common breakdowns / faults.

Clutch = 10 points
Wishbone = 5 points
Power steering rad = 2 points
Coil packs = 2 points

As examples. Collect them all and get a free AA membership for 1 year. :)

I'll list mine.

Cats Collapsing 20 points?
Clutch 10
Clutch 10
Oil Leak 2

Bearing in mind a collapsed cat is rarer than a clutch packing up I'd still be top of the table!

PS. Like my new avatar? :jptongue:

You can't claim 100 points. You were hidden at the back of the GP track. There were only the Maser and Ferrari owners who saw you.

Maf's clutch at Brunty last year was pretty impressive in front of everyone. Everything went quiet.

I really hope that's not as bad as it sounds, or was it a while back
It was back in July wack, it was a £12 nylon chain tensioner that let go and destroyed my oil pump, £1800.You can see the crack in the casting. 34262C82-5D26-415E-9EA3-FB05B172945A.jpg80378C41-5DBB-4A8A-86A7-26083B21296D.jpg

Wow not seen that before.
Totally different to my pump assembly failing due the leaking water pump rusting the splined drive shaft away.
Did you get away with no other damage ?
Over 3 years since I did mine and going strong down here in NZ.

Hi Phil, no other damage, it’s on the right side of the oil system anything that got by the pump was saved by the oil filter. The little mesh filter was holed. The sump was dropped and checked the con rod bearings etc. No damage. So got away without major works. The air compressor had play in the pulley so changed that as well.

No surprise there with maserati.

You used to be able to buy lots of single components but now they all come in bundles.

Steering racks
switches
suspension bits
Etc

Currently sitting on the Wolverhampton ring road waiting for recovery, it would appear the top heater hose has split, good job I didn’t need it for a week or so. Pics to follow when the recovery driver arrives.
