I've managed to secure a sound level meter which I'll bring to Brunty next week - so who's got the loudest exhaust?? That's car exhaust, before any one asks!

MAF in his yellow monster
Benny's ASBO exhaust
Phil's Aiiiitttcccchhh pipe
FC's x-pipe
Stuart's sports cats and x-pipe
Matt's near straight through GS
Spart's lilac love machine

Another contender???

EDIT:

MAF in his yellow monster
Benny's ASBO exhaust
Phil's Aiiiitttcccchhh pipe
FC's x-pipe
Stuart's Larini sports cats and x-pipe & rear boxes
Matt's near straight through GS
Spart's lilac love machine

I have rear boxes too Adam, it is somewhat epic...

I won't be at Brunty, Brands Hatch maybe?

Looking forward to this! Unfortunately my stock back boxes keep the decats and H in gentleman mode. I'm backing the yellow monster.

I'll only be at Brands. I reckon I might be a surprise outsider for a Bronze medal.

Be interesting to see.

How many decibels do you need to be a member of the ASBO club?

Bennys is the loudest . Mine will be bronze after Mafs;P ( although my X pipe might be going back on this weekend, in which case it wont be )

Benny's is the highest pitched, there is a big difference to what appears loud and downright annoying, that describes Benny and his car!!! :D

I reckon mine and MAF's are close to Gold medal, Benny's Silver followed by Geoff's and Spartacus in Bronze place.

Can we also have a conclusive decision on which one sounds the worst?
As mentioned above, loud and offensive isn't the most pleasant

As far as I'm concerned, unless you have one of these, you won't make the medal ceremony

Aren't the track limits for Brands Hatch 105db?

Extract from Brands Hatch T&Cs:

"The initial test is a static test which is carried out using a handheld meter. Each car is measured 0.5 meters away from the exhaust at a 45 degree angle when the engine is being held at ¾ of the maximum RPM."

When you're at full chat, you'll be well above 105db!

I'm probably near that figure at idle! :happy2:
