That they say it will be available from 2018 quite a surprise. It looks as though the game is picking up.

Indeed, it's picking up allover. The hybrid Levante will be with us soon too as well as other Maserati models getting the same treatment according to what the MDs have been told

It's a pretty quick car as well looking at the figures.

Goodbye Tesla. If Jaguar are doing this then rest assured that the Germans will be working on something similar.

The Germans have been working on this for a lot longer, JLR are quite late to jump on the Electric car bandwagon... they have probably caved to government pressure.

However if you look at the development curve on these battery cars then it's not too late for them in the long run. The next generation or two of battery cars will be like disposable cameras surely, I do wonder what will happen to these cars when they become long in the tooth.

They are fully (in percentage terms) recyclable and Tesla will take that on in a very Bristol'esk way!

This is the only electric Jaguar I am interested in.
