I've been with Admiral multi car for a number of years and my last premium was £700 for two us driving any of our 3 cars, the others being a Nissan Navara and an Abarth 595 plus they dealt with a claim very efficiently so I can recommend them too

Admiral put my insurance up this renewal i noticed yesterday . So i phoned them and cancelled it . They asked why and i said i dont agree with the way that they try to extract money from people via stealth .

So i need to insure two cars one with 14 years no claims and the other with 2 . Any recommendations before I start ?

I want one that covers me fully comp in Europe and not just thrird party like alot of other s

I was planning on asking the same question Martyn. I've got the a fleet, and they are all on individual policies. Admiral multicar worked out no cheaper which is probably down to the maser (which i insure through adrian flux) and my age.

Any helpful tips would be appeciated.

Hate to say this sunshine but premiums are up because of new claim limits for personal injury.

Blah. Blah blah. Hate you lot. I am with Esure. When I called A-Plan got quoted £3.5k with 4,000 mile limit. And that is with it in a garage!

That is ridiculous.
Same 4K limit, agreed £20K value, and £500 with A-Plan, plus all the mods declared too!
They have a specialist car department, maybe you where quoted by their bread and butter department.

Hate to say this sunshine but premiums are up because of new claim limits for personal injury.

Whiplash injuries etc limit increased to £5000 which will be dealt with in small claims court to try and stop ambulance chasing solicitors and fraud but biggest change in last few weeks is the "discount rate" which is what is applied to lump sum settlements of claims has changed due to low interest rates in last few years. Instead of reducing the lamp sum it is now increasing. A £1m settlement for a serious injury could now easily be £3m. This is a government ruling nothing to do with the insurance companies.
Predicted extra cost to insurers is £7bn a year. Premiums have already jumped and will continue to go up.
3 figure increases are likely to your premium in next 12 months.

No it is with their specialist dept. As my Noble is with them as well and it was quoted by the same guy.

He openly laughed at me down the phone.

I am with e sure too. Last year is was 243 / year/ I thought they had made a mistake. Now it's gone up to 359. I did a check on compare the market and no one else could get down to that figure.
Are you serious £3,500? Did they think you are a 17 year old convicted felon, with a drug habit, hemi ballismus, Tourette's and a compulsion to crash cars?
