Purchase of Maserati Granturiso S MC Shift few questions

Actually, there are a few. From £33,950k to £37k, there are 5 cars on Autotrader all from 45k to 55k miles. There's also a low miles Cat D car for £30k. I've noticed a small recent drop in all Granturismos with the 4.2 now around £25k and up when they used to all start at £29,995 and up. Stradales remain at £65k and up however the 4 seater is around £70k and so much of a muchness now between the 2 seater and 4 seater. I think there are simply a few of them hanging around in the market and the dealers are therefore reducing price to get them moved on.

I have to say that a £35k 4.7 seems to me to be a total bargain when compared to similar cars from other manufacturers.

Thank you. ADG are not daft and know these cars so wouldn't buy or sell a dog. I think the dealer who bought Stuart's car only got c.£36k in the end and new stock coming onto the market is priced less than previous examples. These cars are simply following a depreciation curve and I believe will continue to do so until out of production for some time and/or supply is limited.

Yes, the dealer who bought mine advertised it for £37k for months before reducing it to £36k and then it sold, but I don't know how much he took for it. I know that he didn't have to do anything to it and he still made a few thousand.

Remember, I kept reducing the price and didn't get a sniff as a private seller and I was offered £28,500 p/x on my Stradale. This was particularly low as the MD I got the Stradale from had to spend more on it than they anticipated so looked to get it back on p/x.
It is certainly a buyer's market for the GT just now I would say

Not sure if it was marketing talk but doesn't sound like it from what you guys have said but he did say he had 4 calls in 12 hours for this with two coming to view it the day I put the deposit down so it seemed to attract attention at least

Hi gents,

Thanks for the quick reply and information i'll forward an email to the dealer to get those item checked, the dealer is having the inspection done at a specialist so is there still a need for another inspection?

A big warm welcome....Saw this adept at ADG and thought that was a very decent price for a 4.7 and from ADG. They come on here now and again and a few members have bought from them. Three specialist are respected on here.....Richard Grant, Nuvola and ADG.........That car feels like a great buy and if I had the pennies I certainly would hAve paid them a visit. Enjoy and look forward to hearing how you get on with her.

I like that colour combo- not a common interior- will feel light and luxurious in the cabin.
Such a lot of car for the money. I just can't believe you can buy MC shifts for sub 35 now and facelift MC Shifts for sub 45. Certainly a buyers market as stuart says.. and it's summmer. WTF?

Yeah I've been patient waiting for that combination, black, grey wheels and cream interior. Also some bonus extra there that i wanted also BOSE, Skyhook and sensors all round as i believe its quite a size!

Just hoping the mech report is sound and if not the dealer is happy to get it up to scratch!

Yes, you will appreciate the sensors at the front for sure and the comfort pack is nice too. The Bose is no great shakes to be honest, I have had one with and one without and cannot tell any tangible difference.
Good luck & keep us posted

I was amazed how good the Bose system was in mine- but I haven't heard the standard.
It wouldn't surprise me if they had modified though judging by the name of him and the music on the jukebox!

My wife was embarrassed when I said to the delivery guy - this is 70 breast augmentations worth so please look after it. I thought it was humorous. She wasn't so impressed.
