Unlikely to work I'm afraid; because they don't have valves they most probably won't have a 'loud' side and a 'quiet' side therefore all you will do by fitting valves is force all the gas out of one pipe instead of two. I would hazard a guess that that would do next to nothing for noise levels.

The larini unvalved boxes are just empty cans, nothing inside at all. I investigated by using my endoscope.
I thought in a previous thread a valved larini box was investigated the same with the same conclusion, empty inside.
If I block one of the outlets while the engine is running, it certainly drops the noise level significantly too.
