Can't get fairer than that Voicey.
Told you guys before us Automotive Professionals have invested heavily in the tools of our trade and they don't come cheap if you want the Best.

Very decent of you Voicey and thanks for the warning which should certainly be heeded as far as I'm concerned

This is a hacked version of the Launch. I had a Launch in Chiswick and it was ****....

- It will not work on a 3200 (as noted above)
- PIS adjustment only works as an integar - so set the PIS to 4.7 and it will set it to 47. If this is your only tool then you're stuffed because you can only reset the PIS to 4 or 5.
- It doesn't work on later 4.7 GT/QP
- I have had it fry a brand new handbrake ECU (twice) during the bedding in procedure. Following this I forbid the use of it on Ferrari/Maserati cars

For some ECUs it works just fine, albeit with limited functionality, but the risk of a cock up is real and present. Now some of you will think that I am saying this because it is in my commercial interest to do so - however I'm happy to offer free access to my SD2/3/Leonardo for forum members (within reason). Also, if you do buy this tool then I'll fix your car if it buggers it up (for a fee).

That will do for me, leave well alone!

I want to be a jedi!

Would have been handy at the price though if it worked, on a serious note though can we not afford the real deal as a collective? I would be "IN"

Great input and generous offer Voicey. For those enthusiasts that are on the other side of the world (like me) would this kit at least serve to READ only data that may assist diagnostics? The problems, I assume, will occur only on actions the WRITE to the ECU?

My airbag light is on and as the car is sorned at the moment getting it switched off before the mot runs out in august is going to be problematic , do you think it'd switch it off, it came on with the orange passenger light blinking which wnt off when i cleaned the contacts on the switch at the passenger side of the dash, the orange light went off but the red one stayed on
Thanks for your time.

Oh and i dont believe anyone on SM thinks for a second you're posting information for commercial gain

My experience has been with the Launch - this is a knock off of that so please bear in mind. To answer the two questions...

1. Read data should be OK.
2. It probably will work on a 4200 airbag ECU. However the tool is £175 - there must be a specialist close by who would hook you up for much less. Also - try cleaning the contacts on the door loom connectors (by the hinges).

I must caveat my thoughts above with that anyone connects this to their car at their risk....

Thanks Voicey , initially I had the red airbag light on and the orange passenger airbag light on , i removed the key switch for the passenger airbag in the dash as the side of the passenger door, the orange light went out but the red one stayed on, i thought it needed diagnostics to turn it off
