I repainted a model MC Stradale for a mate a while back, great little project.

Hi guys,

I was just organising my old phone photos and found these, thought you might appreciate them. A mate has a beautiful MC Stradale and he asked me if I could take a collectable model and repaint it to match his. I thought I could mask and paint it but in the end I just took the whole thing apart and sprayed it up in bits. I printed the chrome Maserati emblems on my ALPS printer, they came out very nicely. It's great fun doing small projects like this, it's all good practice with the paint finish skills! I used Zero Paints Ferrari Nuovo Nero Daytona which is as close a match to Carbonio as I could get but looks identical. Bonus pic of a Lambo Arancio Borealis Morgan Aero 8 I repainted shortly before this!

Anyway I hope you enjoy :).

Will.

Very impressed by those Zero paints, a bit on the pricey side but they behave exactly like 1k paints out of the airbrush. The flakes are a good scale too.

Looking very smart there! Can't believe the quality of the panels on these cars, not a wobble in sight. Didn't get any pics after I'd painted the calipers yellow for some reason. Oh well.

I managed to buy a Hotwheels 1:18 QP. Cost me an arm and a leg for what was $18 originally! Love to repaint it to match mine. Howver wrong wheels though...

Would be happy to 3D print you some wheels if you want Eb. I have an SLA printer that can do 25 micron and those would be a piece of cake to model and print, so if you're interested drop me a PM :).

That's a very fine offer! Let me see how the wheels comes apart. Amazing what talented people can do these days!

Catman, is yours pre-facelift? If you haven't got one, I think Academy do a nice model. Just let me know if either of you are interested.

I think the Academy kit is painted but not assembled, unsure. Either way, respraying that Burago Morgan wasn't difficult. It all comes apart very easily.
