MC Shift - Leak

Can anyone identify a leak I have from the rear of the car, looks like it is coming from some sort of sump plug. Is there any way of topping up these fluids until I can get it into the garage to be fixed?

Are there any decent indies around the Leeds area that anyone can recommend?

Thanks Craig

Exactly the same as what I've just had fixed. It's coming from your torque tube seal.

With labour it's around 6-700 quid.

Thanks for the reply Mark.

Is the car safe to drive and do you know if I will get a warning light if the fluid level is low?

Yours looks slightly worse than mine. It all depends on how long It's been like that.
I'm a bit OCD so I noticed a tiny drip on my garage floor.
It's safe to drive as there's plenty in there. It's unlikely you'll drain it all.

The part itself is only £12.50 but it's all the labour involved that costs.

There is no warning for gearbox oil if it's low but it would take a long time to lose it all.

The closest specialist is probably Autoshield in south Manchester or Supercar Centre in Sheffield. As far as I can tell there is no specialist in Leeds but it's worth ringing JCT as Dave said.

I belive my Strad is showing sings of the same leak. Voicey commented this on the inspection. It is very minor.

Surely not a design fault? I can't believe Maserati would release anything suspect onto the buying public. :mock8:

"They all do that, don't worry unless it actually drips" is what Rob at Grimaldi said to me. And it doesn't, so I won't. Sounds minor like yours, Matt.

The pic above, by way of reference, is a good bit oilier than mine, though.

Thanks Adam just been out into the garage armed with the torch, no oil under the wet bit on the floor where she always sits so not going to worry about it till service time.
