I have always had a hankering for one.... irrational, illogical ... etc.. but it just reminds me of my youth, I like the sound, the feel, etc. - reminds me in ways of an old Alfa 33 1.7 cloverleaf boxer I had years ago... sound smell... but a bit more grunt in fairness.
Yes I'm sure I could get something newer for the money ... but I am a firm
Believer in trying to get others to pay for depreciation ( buy low sell high).... I have been fortunate enough to turn a profit on all classics or limited editions I have bought over the years, and I feel ( not very rational I know) that with the way Maserati is going re mass production etc the purists and collectors are going to want old school Masers warts and all.... and even if I dont turn a profit in time I will just enjoy looking at it, smelling the leather and taking it out the odd weekend there is sunshine and no rain... hardly likely to lose my shirt I think... and if I export again to UK ( pending brexit outcomes re customs in/ out) or mainland EU I will get the VRT back..
That's my "logic" for what it's worth.
