The only one I would want for my fantasy driveway would be a Classic 911 from the late 60's to early 70's.
My father had a 71 911 in 1980 and me and my twin drove it to Nice from Switzerland for him.
We got laid on that trip ;)

One day I will own a 911. As its an itch I will need to scratch. I think it will be as well as the Maser though. Can't see myself being without one. The Maser is part of the family now.

yes Mark it is one you must own. I felt the same about a Maserati and am so glad I had one.

Whether it is "the one" will depend on your tastes and what is most important to you in a car.

Well done on the sale John...Must have been one of the quickest sales of a 4200. Enjoy the Cayman S...A friend had one and loved it. Really good fun on a twisty road.......By the way lovely and sunny down here.....Sonia said it's been bloody awful the last month so feel lucky.

Exactly my sentiment. I could not part with my 996 Turbo. Had it for 5 years. Bought at 22k miles and now at 36k miles with full Porsche Main Dealer history and the coveted manual box and X50 factory option (£8k option).

That's why I bought the Gransport to keep alongside the Turbo. Both very different cars and enjoyable in their own different ways.

I'd def recommend using Northway Porsche at Beenham.

Ray at Northway has a good name among the 911UK following. As with anything on this prestige brand, make sure you do your homework on the Cayman (if that's what it is that you want) as earlier non-Mezger engine cars 9x6 and 9x7 can be a real (unpredictable) money-pit that could taint your Porsche experience. Check the service history very carefully as it is likely that for the latter part of its life it will have been maintained and service by an indy specialist - and Porsche indys are 10 a penny - with the usual caveat - a few are good, many may be mediocre/average and some are bad and don't really know too much about the marque.

It's a Gayman S. Better than a Coxster as the roof makes it extra stiff. :)

Ah, thought so, just am never sure with them as they keep churning out the same shell since the second world war.

Is it still a 1303 flat 4 air cooled engine yes?

I think MAV, being the third member of Right Said Fred will look rather fetching in it.

I think it's the common rail 2.0 TDI isn't it? ;)
