Confused by GT gearbox oil change.

Hi Guys
Bit of advice would be very gratefully received.
Intending to change the gearbox oil, filter etc. which is the last part
of the major service and respray that the car was due when I bought it.
Am using a trusted local indy for servicing.
I read somewhere that one oil lubricates both gearbox and diff.
However, my hand book lists Shell Dextron III for the gearbox and
Shell Spirax S 75W140 for the diff. This is what is confusing me.
I think I may've read on another thread here that Fuchs Titan is a popular brand
although I've also read elsewhere that ZF Lifeguard 6 is excellent and I was
going to buy the latter from Opie Oils since the GT has a ZF gearbox.
Am I correct in believing that one oil does both gearbox and diff?
Cheers guys.

I would have thought the same oil would be used to lubricate diff and gearbox on an MC shift car but on the older GTs that only came with the auto box, there would be different chambers to house gear oil and diff oil. Hopefully that explains it.

Makes sense, also on the auto the gearbox and the diff are at different ends of the car.

Cheers. I would have no idea how to do the work myself but I do know that the MC shift gearbox is by the rear axle and the auto box (with either engine) is just behind the engine keeping your left foot warm.
