Handbrake chatter

Noticed this on my old GTS and the Strad has started doing the same.

When your driving at moderate speed and you pass park cars or a wall with the window down you can hear a chattering from the rear brakes which so I am let to believe is the handbrake not releasing fully or something loose.

A job for the winter months but has anyone got any pointers before I tackle it?

EPB=PITA.

My GTS failed it's MOT at five years old due to dis-integrating EPB shoes. Thankfully the parts are cheap but it is not a great system. Sorry not adding any value to dealing with it.

Get it sorted ASAP - there is a real risk of expensive damage to the hubs. Eurospares do pattern shoes but you'll need an SD3 to put the handbrake motor in service mode.

Mine made noises then let go, it ripped the hub apart as Voicey eludes too above, £2k repair bill after new arms, handbrake shoes, rear discs and EPB ECU.
