For those interested, the new series with Mike & Ant starts on Discovery on new years day. I'll be tuning in, there are worse shows on TV for sure!

Seen the trailer and being a big Ed fan, it pains me a little to say it looks spot on and Ant has fitted the mould really well.

First one is the Cossy Escort I think.

Given its a US company that bought the rights, I'd say Brewer will be staying on the left coast.
That's a win for us! ;)
[at least until US audiences tire of his absurd cheeky chappie persona]

Please come back to the UK.....At least it's a decent car....Can't take anymore of the USA metal they had in the last show........Watched one the other day with Ed in that I hadn't seen...They had a Noble which was brilliant.

Andy, it’s a US owned show now, it won’t be coming back.

Am expecting contrived content soon.

I think Ed China was going to be doing a British show that will be pretty much the same as the old WD, I remember seeing him on YouTube saying this. I would much rather watch Ed than the other 'Wide boy'!!

As part of buying the show, the Americans will have had the presenters, sellers etc sign a non compete agreement. What the terms are and how enforceable it is, is anyone's guess.
However, it would specify a period of time and I suspect it wouldn't last longer than six to twelve months. Possibly Eds spinning his wheels until this agreement lapses and at the same time shopping his own concept around the various production companies.

I stopped watching Brewer when they moved to the US and then to compound what an A$$ he is, I emailed him asking if he could put me in contact with the garage that he had his T-Bird sorted with Electric Windows and seats in California as a client was desperately trying to get similar parts and after a couple of weeks he replied saying "Haven't got the faintest" and that was it, no apology, no pointing me in the right direction, just dismissive and unhelpful.

If Ed is producing his own program then am sure that will be a success.
