QP Wheel Alignment

Took my QP in for an MOT at the weekend and she passed with flying colours, but did notice that the inner front tyres are wearing unevenly on both sides. The suspension is fine as I have had the bushes replaced on both sides.

I'm going to have to buy some new fronts but in the meantime will need to get the Wheel alignment/Tracking done and my local specialists who claim to be able to do any car can't do the Maser.

Can anyone point me in the right direct of a reputable company within 100 miles who can do it?

Thanks.

Thanks, yep heard good things about them but it is a 250 round trip and would mean pulling a day out of the office, I wondered if there was somewhere nearer

Autoshield in Manchester did mine for me John. You could always PM Benny and see if he knows anyone somewhere inbetween the two of you.

As you're South Staffs speak to centre of gravity in Atherstone.

http://www.centregravity.co.uk/

They are not too far away.

They set up Porsche mainly but spoke to them and they would order in correct shims etc if necessary but just tracking should be a doddle for them.

I have also used:

http://www.fowkesauto.com for adjusting front and rear toe settings after changing suspension parts.

Thanks Much appreciated, I'll try Centre of Gravity first as they are the closest.

No worries, a mate drove over from Belfast to use them, so they must be good!

Just spoke to Pete and all booked in for January £349 Inc. VAT and they reckon it will take about 4 hours but they have a warm waiting room with Coffee etc.

Will let you know how they go on.

They have wi-fi endless coffee and in that four hours they will go through the car suspension, brakes and steering checking that all is within tolerances - pointless doing geometry if there is wear in any of those systems.

They did my Turbo in 2015 and it handles just perfect. They only do this sort of work do they are real experts - both Chris and Pete ate great. I took my GS to them to show and gave him the keys and said, "take it Chris and tell me if it needs your expert touch, to me it drives fine, but your assessment is required". He came back and said its fine!

Mention me to them when you are there.
