Love it, and I was hooning around in a Manual 1970 Stingray back then. Hooning in a straight line though lol.

When I was out in Saudi Arabia back in the late 70'S we were hooning around in old American Iron 6.6 Trans ams and Corvettes it was fun for sure especially as the fuel was cheaper than water.

Pure Corvette , Sexy Machine that.. :)

Bit like myself back then! lol. I had it imported, ran it for two to three years, sold on at a profit, the next owner embarked on a great restoration the result of which you see here.

No, it was a 5.7 350 The next owner fitted the big block bonnet, and a few choice mods. I remember it twisting multiple driveshafts once he was finished :)

My first car, a 1984 Mini Sprite LE in Cinnabar red. 998cc engine, and the last of the Minis with 10 inch wheels and drums all round.

Looked like this with a bunch of extra rust:

Perhaps not particularly inspiring, but as the years have gone on, I've considered what my perfect Mini would look like, and think I was pretty much there in the first place.
Bright colour, 10 inch wheels, not even trying to be a Cooper - perfect.

Nothing classic or particularly desirable but I really regret selling my Impreza WRX, I loved driving that car, put a smile on my face every time I sat in it but when I bought the 4200 something had to go and a 22mpg £500 tax car was top of the list

Replaced it with something economical which lasted 6 weeks because I hated it, now I look back the impreza was probably the cheapest car I ever owned because depreciation over 3 years was zero, actually plus £100 because i sold it for £100 more than I paid for it

I fixed it . I grabbed hold of the loom under the dash , gave it a good yank and the light went out . £1000 worth of garages and specialists and it was a loose connector .

..and to be fair i basically swapped it for my 4200

Oh man, that hurts. What a beautiful example.

I miss mine too, and regularly find myself browsing classifieds wondering 'what if'. But I don't regret selling it. Mine was suffering badly from the Italian tin worm on the inner arches, the buyer was taking on a project which I hadn't the energy or funds for.

The car I do miss selling is the 164 3.0. Such fond memories of high speed trans-continental journeys in the days before speed cameras, great road manners, great engine, could effortlessly carry five with an enormous boot to boot. Never gave a moment's trouble.

Beck replica Porsche 550 Spyder. With a 911 T 2 litre air-cooled, 5-speed gearbox, Double wishbone rear end, and 356 alloy drum brakes, it was a great car on the road. It has gone to a good home, though.
