I didn't get through to Darren but a chap called Murray helped me with the 4200 insurance renewal this year and he beat all of the best prices I found by over £50 and plenty of extras included in the premium. The premium came to £398 with my partner as an added driver and all mods declared... which is also over half of what I paid last year due to a price hike after moving address... I'm quite impressed last few brokers I have gone through have been hard work.

Excellent, btw is this quote without a tracker fitted or activated.

My experience is they tried to sell me their 'high net worth individual' policy for the Turbo at £1200+ when my renewal was c£300. So don't go for such a policy - unless you want fully comp cover driving someone else's car (not 3rd party only) and if you don't want a like-for-like replacement if yours needs repairs in a claim.

If its not a high net worth policy there is every reason for an AIB policy to be competitive.

I doubt with value of Maserati generally they come into the radar for a tracker to be fitted (my current insurer requires this if the agreed value is £100k or more) and/or high risk post code areas.

Sorry Tony only just saw this. No tracker fitted or active

One nice feature of the policy is if the car needs repair under insurance, if I don't like the repair shop the insurer chooses then for a small additional excess I can choose whatever shop I like...

If you are using a specialist broker you should be getting a policy that allows you to choose the repairer from the outset at one excess contribution. The Turbo can go straight to a Porsche-approved repairer and likewise for the Gransport with my insurance.
