Re the discrepancy in passenger to driver's side, I would imagine this is an allowance for the driver's weight - as has been suggested. Are you measuring the height/weight with you sat in the car? Weighting of the car is usually calculated with the driver in the car so this may explain it. (Usually for track driving where there are no passengers).
When balancing the car it is important to correlate front left to front right, same with the rear AND front left diagonally across the chassis to rear right and vice versa to ensure balanced turning in either direction. The camber and toe etc can then be tuned from there.
Would be interesting to hear how you find it once it's done. It should make a noticeable difference and totally the right thing to do when lowering the car as you are.
