Hi All,

Just noticed that my 4200 has a boot full of water,it is lying under the boot lining material, has any body experienced this before or does anybody know how to remove the lining material.

Just to recap Musto.....to eliminate all possible entry points....need to consider following....

Boot lid seal
Petrol filler neck
Both rear lights were they meet body
May need to seal around F/Glass spare wheel well
Also rear window seal

For mine turned out to be a combo 1 and 3 .

You would need to strip out all lining material to start, partly to get it dried out.........tedious but doable

Hi Guys,

Thanks for highlighting the link, I had not noticed it before. This looks like rather a common problem, I will take your advice and start by stripping the boot lining out.

There seems to be a plastic trim underneath the back window thats holding the side in place, and they seem to hold the floor panel in place. The plastic retainers seem very delicate does any body know how to get them out, is it simply prising them out gently or is there a special trick to it.

Don't suppose any clever sod has done a video of the operation have they.
