IMG_0633.jpgIMG_0633.jpgI have exactly the same issue with my rear track control arms, and as i am tight i cannot justify maserati prices for the new arm,so was thinking along the lines of the modification as you haveby useing a rose joint rather than a sperical bearing,But instead i opted to have myself turn a pair of new arms up rather than modify the original,Rose joints were £12 each and the rubber boots were £6 each, rose joints came with grease nipples so hopefully the life span will be increased. The arms were tuned from EN24 with the correct m14 thread and the rose joints were M12 left hand thread so as able to easily adjust tracking in situ,

Deano, if you're making these from scratch will you be offering track control arms for members, at all? Bloody sure there'd be a market. My NS can't be far off requiring replacement.

ive only made mine, dont mind getting a apir done for someone if it helps them out, track control arms are a different thing,as getting the ball on the inner end is specialist,i managed to get one a cpl of years back from eurospares, though im led to believe they are no longer available,i did hear a rumour that they were originally made in leicester!!!

I'm not sure regarding this installation, but rod end bearings are fine on race cars were componant's are lifed on track time....for road use there not suitable, they also transmit harshness through to the chassis and wear very qiuckly..

If one of those aftermarket non EU type approved fixes failed and caused injury, your insurance company would disown you!

Neither rose joints or spherical bearings are ideally suitable for road car application due to transmitting harshness and lack of durability hence why the OEM's spend millions on developing rubber bushes, but unfortunately our cars were built with these so its these we have to stick with,These are only used as they give a more posotive location still allowing the movement,
