I thought this was a simple question?
i need the measurement from the center of the wheel to lip of wheel arch
front and rear reason being a total rebuild of the suspension and new springs
the car at present looks way to high especially the front.

I have one in stock at the moment and don't mind taking the measurement for you this evening, I'm on the road today.

Here's mine, it had two new front springs in August so may settle slightly.

Centre to lip of arch. Front 38cm Rear 36cm

I also measured ground to top of arch lip. 67cm Front and back. Clearance top of tyre to lip. Front 7cm Rear 4cm.

Hope this helps. PS. Tyres at 2.1 Bar.

Thanks guys
I will check the measurements in a bit to see how far mine are out.
Richard if you get a chance to measure the one you have it would be interesting for reference
many thanks for both your help
regards Gordon.

Finally measured mine this morning and at present
400mm center to lip front and back and from ground to lip 700mm
So some winding down to do next week before the wheels come of for
respray to original AC colour and sort out corrosion around all 4 valves.

Thats fine i have enough data now to get it sorted out, its always bugged me that the car looked more like an SUV!

The car has been totally rebuilt, its now nearly 2 years since i bought it as a very expensive project,
the suspension and springs are the AC race option same as original setup, being built from new hence needing some idea of the ride height.
Im surprised the lack of info from Maserati regarding basic info mind you i should have realised after the lack of knowledge on the MK1 and MK2 versions of the 3200gt especially the wiring which I've now finally sorted out.
Might be back on the road soon!

Good luck with it, hopefully it will be on the road soon enough. If you need to reference anything against mine just ask.

Make sure you reset the geometry once you've altered the ride height

Thanks Dave, fortunately the garage doing the work are an accident and repair workshop so they have all the latest gear
for resetting the geometry.
The lads that work there are quite attached to my car, it is fired up on special occasions they all recon it is easily the best sounding car
thats been in the workshop.
