Missing carpet in driver's footwell.

Does anyone know why there seems to be a missing bit of carpet in the driver's footwell in Granturismos?

Is it where the bonnet catch is to release (albeit I can't see it there)?

This is the bit I am referring to - to the right of the driver's footwell to the right of the accelerator...

Hmm yeah could be.

Not seen it before in any other car I don't think.

White seems an odd colour to use for that and they always seem to be white when I've seen them - I would have thought black would be better.

It looks like some screws on it - I wonder if it is a panel to something.

You could stick some red felt on it with velcro or even glue but maintain the holes...
