Put this around your car, AND, on your car in a small plastic container where the cat usually sits or walks. Do it regularly for a week or two. Once they associate this smell with your car they won't go near it again. You'll then only need to do it occasionally.

A wax is unlikely to have a strong enough smell. Whereas this has a extremely strong citrus smell.

Sadly whereas dog owners would be responsible for damage caused by their pets it's not the same for cat owners - strange but true
So if I ever need to organise a bank robbery a Cat would be a good route to take to do the job

Sadly I have been using this for some time and the little blighters have got used to it
