Another point on the Xenons,
When the water supply connector to the washer jet perishes / cracks, it leaks on the inside of the wheel arch, and are £95 to replace....

The only safe bets are the mezger engine cars in 996 and 997 Gen 1 - the Turbo, the GT3 and the (rare) GT2.

Good friend had a 996 GT3 a few years ago, the specialist dealer was happy to give him 2 years warranty instead of the normal year, because of the engine.

The Luna car is particularly cheap as I was lucky enough to spend very little at inspection. The Med Blu car is dearer as it is Med Blu, an LE, a later car; and did indeed require more spend at inspection and service. Blu interior is very dark and always popular inspite of what most on the forum suggest. I love Blu Scuro interiors, they stand the test of time better than any other colour, even black. I love the classy nature of the interior; it contrasts the light exterior too.

I prefer dark interiors - mainly because they don't age as badly.

I was at another dealer (not Dicky's) and there was a cream interior on a GranCabrio that looked as if someone had let a springer spaniel lose in there. Whenever I see cream or beige interiors in any car older than five years there are marks everywhere.

From the cars I've seen / been in this imho is probably true. But I wouldn't necessarily discount a cream interior without seeing it first. Looked at a MY03 Spyder with 100K miles and the best part of the car by far was the leather. If the rest of the car had been in as good a shape I would've bought it. I do like a contrast between exterior & interior and have to say MrG's Luna/Blu Scuro looks utterly gorgeous.

Many of the GranTurismo shape cars with cream leather I have seen show a lot of wear while the leather in coupe era cars seem to be harder wearing. In terms of feel the former is softer than in the coupe so that might explain the increased wear.

Mine has the grey leather interior only the bolster on the drivers side was quite tired which was easily repaired prior to my purchase

JayBlue bought my blue car (netunno) with cuoio leather interior. It's a classic combo that looks ace. That car has an interior that seems to never age too as the cuoio leather used is so thick that it shows little or no signs of mileage. A good choice.

Should have kept it !!

As Athol said my car has a similar interior. The leather has aged pretty well I think!

It's a very good quality leather. Mine has 83.000 kms and it is almost new. Mi old m3 with full bmw individual leather was much worse.

This may be of interest to your friend but I would suggest he needs to be quick......

Nice but disappointing errors in the listing (states black calipers and technical cloth which is strange they would do that, lazy cut and paste?). Also the car is missing at least 2 items of LE spec (black grilles and grey wheels - but that is not to say these were not specified as chrome and silver when new as they were NCO on the LE I think).

Yep, noticed the errors, not sure black and grey would go so perhaps as you say, specified that way..
