Now you're invisible to RADAR!View attachment 122591Had the car waxoyled.
Had a spare hour today so decided ti tackle the removal of the PPF which is just past its best and starting to yellow.
Managed to do the side skirt and one front wing without too much drama, will do the other side and bonnet next week, but am leaving the nose / front bumper.
The difference is subtle but I can see the difference.
Just need to find something to remove the odd sticky bit, nothing is touching it so far.
That's one heckuva bidet, right there.Tried out this undercarriage contraption

Which resulted in wet feet lol
Washed the top side as well.
I think I would worry that it would be spraying water where it was not designed to go - fill up subframes etcTried out this undercarriage contraption

Alcohol will likely do it, Sam, but you should probably dilute it to about 25% and rinse thoroughly afterwards.Had a spare hour today so decided ti tackle the removal of the PPF which is just past its best and starting to yellow.

It went on when the car was new so it’s a good 8/9 years old. To get the odd bit of sticky off I triedAlcohol will likely do it, Sam, but you should probably dilute it to about 25% and rinse thoroughly afterwards.
How old is that PPF? It should do a good 5+ years before starting to yellow. Maybe leave the rest of it for a hotter day (unless Mrs Scaf's hairdryer is helping warm it up before you remove it).
I can give a thumbs up for the GooGoneIt went on when the car was new so it’s a good 8/9 years old. To get the odd bit of sticky off I tried
- alcohol
- WD 40
- Meths
- sticky stuff remover
I dont want go at it with a rubber wheel
Mate had success with “GooGone” so will try that.
Heating small patch with a heat gun is producing good results, just the odd bit of sticky (but it’s a devil to get that off).
That really is particularly nice isn't it?Tried out this undercarriage contraption

Great work. Well done!Weather was good today so got the roof lining in. It fought back well with a monumental amount of faffery with the passenger sunvisor screws & nuts and though when I started the visor courtesy lights were working, now they're not. Checked the wiring I could get to & the visor (seems no power from the car plug), don't think I can face getting it all out again for a more thorough look.
After then it occured to me that I haven't found any money in this car so I went on the hunt pulling some more of the interior out. And I still haven't found any; but I did find a cut off Motorola device lurking in a rear deck speaker hump and a dodgy looking bent wire coat hanger under the back seat...
Fixed a broken rear air vent but I need a replacement outer front one as that is beyond help. Then found the boot lock and fuel flap release buttons stick in causing all sorts of solenoid weirdness; guess the thing's been sat a while. A dose of switch cleaner required there & that's not something I have so pulled them back out to calm things down, put it all back together, locked up & knocked it on the head for the day.
There's nothing better than the feeling of clean undercarriage.Tried out this undercarriage contraption
