Ok ok ok that ranks as one of the best anorak meets we have had. The company was almost as good as the weather and I loved the drive from Malt Shovel to Little Chalfont. Your hero lead the procession where the likes of Loz and my new friend James Bond in his DB9 were left in the wake of my exhaust as I jetted across the English countryside in my silver missile.
It was great to see Loz back on his feet and my condolences to him as the decibal trophy now sadly passes to an Aston Martin DB9.
It was a shame that Simon had to leave early ( probably breast feeding duties
) and Dem who used to be his own man now has to be home by a certain time. I told ya Dem your life was about to alter forever but ya didn't wanna listen)
All in all a great meeting with beautiful cars although I think Benny's Spyder would benefit from a respray to white
Now I am going to really surprise you. After I drove Matt back to the Malt Shovel I headed home with the fuel light on. By the time I reached the North Circular the fuel situation was getting desperate so I pulled off to find a garage to fill up.
This garage was just around the corner to the Ace Cafe so I decided to pop in there for a quick snack. It was packed out with Alfa Romeos and Fiats (Matt you went to the wrong meet). I almost stole the show with the Maserati but was fair and squarely beaten by an Alfa 8C sitting in the middle of the car park with the hood up. A nice way to round off a great day
