Just spend a very pleasant couple of hours cleaning and pampering the car and was feeling very at peace with the world. Then I fired her up to nip down to Halfords for more cleaning products only to be confronted by a neighbour who lives opposite, in tears. She says she can't cope with the sound of my car and that I had woken her up (1615 on Sunday). It turns out that she has a medical complaint that means she cannot sleep much at night and has to sleep during the day. She also hinted that she was not the only neighbour who did not appreciate the sound of the Maserati V8. She literally begged me to do something about it.
I love the sound of my car but I don't like being antisocial and upsetting people and I certainly don't want my car to be an object of hate. Neither do I want any neighbour agro - its the worst thing ever.
So I will have to go back to the original exhaust. I currently have a Larini H pipe and straight throughs (Parisien will correct me if I'm wrong). Do I have to revert to the full original system to be safe, or do you think I can get away with putting the back boxes on and keeping the H pipe?
BTW Frank - I have just spotted the video you posted on the Exhaust thread of 'our' car. What a great little film!
