Hi,

One morning when I was to take a drive with my 4200 -02, there was a repeating beeping. Approximate frequency - a beep every 1-2 second.
The beeping occurs when the car is moving and doesn't go away until the car stand still.
No warning lights.
It is not a one-time-issue, it now occurs every time the car is moving. Apart from this the cars is fine.
Disconnected the battery - no change.

Any ideas on the root cause?

Thanks,

Or handbrake. Does the handbrake light come on when you apply it/when the car is doing a system check on startup? If not then the bulb might be faulty and the micro-switch faulty too.

Hi,

- The outer temperature meter in the car shows 15 degree Celsius when checking today

- The handbrake light show up at start up and also when I engage the hand brake. The light disappear when disengaging the handbrake

The beeping still starts when the car gets in motion. (and there is no hand brake light visible)

I guess, but cannot be sure, that the sound comes from the dashboard area.

When reversing the car, there is also a repeating beeps - I guess this is normal. But this sound is different (not that load) to my problem beeps.

Thanks,

Is there a speed threshold? I think the handbrake one starts immediately, the seatbelt one at 10 or 15mph.

Can't think of any other warning beeps...especially ones that don't have a corresponding light.

Still have not been able to sort this issue

Handbrake, Seat Belt and Open Door:
If ignition is on and the handbrake is engaged, door open, no seat belts - the corresponding warning light is illuminated. When door is closed, etc. the warning lamp disappears. So, to me it seems that the sensor is working ok.
But then this signal is combined with speed info. Anyone know how this works? Is there an ECU responsible for this? If so, where to locate this one?

I was also thinking of taking out the fuse related to the above, trying to close in on the problem area. Any ideas, which fuse covering above?

The beeping noise most certainly originate behind the steering wheel some where

Speed Threshold:
I cannot find any speed threshold management on this car.

F1 Gearbox:
Run a diagnoses with the Texa tool. No errors, or malfunction indicated.

Any suggestions, or advice how to further diagnose this issue would be highly appreciated.

I was driving very slowly and then opened the door -> warning light illuminated. Closed the door -> warning light disappeared. At all time, I heard the beeping

Could be the temperature sensor / ice warning..??

You say you are in Sweden and the ambient temperature is 15 degC, does that sound correct, or do you have a faulty sensor..??
