Probably an easy one but here goes.

An engineer who worked for Alfa, Ferrari, Lamborghini and ISO formed his own car company in the 60s, what was it called?

Only 4 on the uk. To be honest i had never heard of it.

I have a slight obsession with Italian motorcycles (and now cars) so know the company.
Sure Innocenti was owned by De Tomaso the same time he had Maserati, or around the same time.

Nuccio Bertone maybe, he certainly designed cars for the first 3 and I think he was at Iso for a while

Not who I had in mind but you could be right.

The fella I'm after was a prominent engineer on the 250GTO and has a link with Le Mans (why I thought it may be an easy one for this forum).

Spot on sir! :)

I'm sure he started with Alfa and got poached by Ferrari. Also had a hand in development of the Lamborghini V12.
A talented chap by all accounts.

Over to you zagatoes :)

Ok it's not as simple as both being Italian or both being in Silverstone. It's not specific to my Q4 the same applies to any Q4 and in fact to a number of Fiat out pourings at the time. As far as the 1951 GP winner that can't be hard even for the limited intellect on this forum ;)

I have no idea who won the 1951 British GP. It was another 20 years until i arrived on the planet :)

If the same thing applied to other fiat cars at the time then i assume its a design feature or component of the car and the car that won the 51 GP.

Modular plarform or suspension components / type maybe ?

Im speculating as i have no idea.
