May I ask one, as MMS is AWOL?
I hadn't realised it was such a well-known question - I only stumbled across it by chance last week. While we give the others a chance to guess, here is a supplementary Olympic question for those who know the 1956 answer already:
At the 1900 Summer Olympics in Paris, Belgian Léon de Lunden took gold in the pigeon shoot; how many pigeons did he kill?

I am assuming that in those days they shot real pigeons rather than clays they do today
It was a one-off 'live pigeon shooting' competition.
