My QP is sitting on the front drive with 6 inches of snow on top of it.
I start it up every other day and run it for a while to warm it up and then put the covers back on.
So it got me wondering how many of you folk are out and about in your Maserati's in the snow ?
I must admit I'm itching to take mine for a spin !!! Or maybe not such a good idea.

Scoot, I used to take the GS out in the snow as no other was brave enough and used to slide it all over the place, it was a hoot!

I am not so brave in the Strad....off you go :)

Stuck in Dublin with less than an inch of snow with a Range Rover parked in Birmingham airport so NO!!!!

Why do cities close down for such a small amount snow, from the news I have seen there is much more in the UK.

Rant over

I keep looking at the QP, covered in snow, I really want to see just how bad it would be...

if I still had the MX5 and definitely if I had the truck I'd be out, but the roads here are like a piste! And I don't fancy being on the front page if the local rag!

Not in Marci, obviously since it is winter and the problems I have with her just now, I was meant to be in Thurso this morning but got turned round by the police at berriedale brae, which is a steep incline on the way north.......quite happy in pepper the cayenne though ;)

Not been out in the GTS but my Jag XJ is Great fun in the snow - traction control off take it steady and let the tail wag the dog drifting at every opportunity -

It’s snowing where i am and I have to drive to Oxford (about 55 Miles) tomorrow - my plan is keep off the main roads to avoid the crowds - I am so excited I doubt I’ll sleep.

I do have snow socks in the boot if I do happen to get stuck, but I have not had to use them yet !

Not in Maser. Alfa got stuck in 6-8 inches despite snow tyres so fall back 1975 siii. Drove up really steep hill without even a slip - very impressive. Neighbour’s modern 4x4 couldn’t make it.

Was out most of yesterday and today running around assisting the local hospital picking up staff. The old X-Trail with a decent set of AT tyres is earning its keep this week and has been coping with deeper drifts than I thought it would.

My old Fiat Panda 4x4 is the best thing in snow ever, even with ten year old tyres :D

Saw a dark blue Gran Cabrio this morning up by St Paul's in London, fair play roads are treacherous , and it's not always what you do

Not on summer tyres I won't be.

I actually had the QP booked in for its MoT and had to cancel it when I saw other cars sliding all over the place on the gentle hill I live on.

Why do cities close down for such a small amount snow,

Simple cost/benefit calculation. I've lived several winters in Chamonix. The town council wrote to all residents a few years ago and explained that every time it snows the cost to the town is €10,000 on salt and clearance - and that is without the major capital maintenance and depreciation costs of the snow ploughs and all wheel drive trucks. Even Chamonix, where snow can remain on the ground (and roads) from December to April, they decided they can no longer afford snow clearance. Their reasoning is all the locals have winter tyres and tourists can suck it up and use chains.

This is the first time we've seen snow in London for yonks. I'd rather my council spend their limited funds on our schools and policing than on a fleet of shiny snow ploughs. It'll melt on Saturday.

Went out in the Spyder today, cant say I particularly enjoyed it too much. I had it in 'ice' mode but it didn't seem to be any different to the standard auto mode?
