A thread based on common problems that can only exist in our modern life.

For example,

Do I buy organic banana wrapped in a plastic bag or non-organic ones loose?

Is it more annoying to have a stone-chip or to pay to have it repaired?

Just been speaking to my son, had his RAF Officer / Flying Selection thing today, didn't go very well, passed most but failed a couple quite badly, can come back in a year and try to improve 15% or pursue his 3rd choice which was ATC, poor lad, for once I've had to reign in the "yorkshireman" - chin up and fight through attitude - and offer words of encouragement and suchlike......

Trying to recycle properly at home and teach the 4x25+ year old lodgers (children)it’s for their benifit - whilst pushing the wheelie bin past a petrol V8, a diesel 4x4, a petrol 4x4, a hot hatch and a very hot BMW M 1series.

Then at work we took over a brand new office some 30,000 sq feet, brand new installed ceilings and raised floor - and threw over 75% straight into the bin.

Yeah, it's bollox, innit. We don't even scratch the surface! My eldest, a right-on stoodent, tells me that shipping (as in actual ships) is by far the worst global polluter, and production of meat for human consumption not far behind. Doesn't stop him buying stuff off Amazon or eating beef, mind you.

Still, sorting the yoghurt pots into the right bin does at least alleviate our first-world angst and guilt just a tiny bit.

We received a nice plastic tub thingy for food waste. My wife was offended but did the right thing and placed the plastic tub into the recycling, hence alleviating her guilt at being too posh to recycle smelly old food.

Not finding the right 458 spider, despite having two desperate buyers for the strad...

(although technically speaking, I live in a third world country)

To be fair, the food isn't actually recycled. This is Soylent Green :D
