A lot of folk seem to talk down Saabs as much as they do Maseratis. The 9-5 aero estate in manual guise is a very underrated car. Parts are plentiful and cheap and home servicing is easy. Not beautiful, I admit but a late aero has all the toys you could think of. Practically unmatched as a load carrier( I folded down the seats and moved a full size wardrobe today with the tailgate shut and with 260 hp out of the box it is no slouch. I took mine to Southern Spain last month and averaged 40 mpg on the motorway while rarely under 80 mph.
The 9000 aero is a different beast. I have a few mods on mine and with nearly 500 nm and only about 1300 kg it doesn't hang around.
If I want a really memorable drive I take out the 3200.
I suppose I just love forced induction.
