Not sure if this one is known on here, but I saw this one pop up the other day and could be another option for you Mavster if ADG falls through.

Vinyl wrap over silver (as you can see from the headlights), so you would have to take a gamble with what it looks like underneath. I think the red suits it.

I quite like the red - it’s different and seems to suit the car...

I also really like the interior and the black piping... only downside is the tan top of the dash might be too light. I’ve got a tan interior but have black on the very top of the dash

I spoke to the private seller on this one when he was selling it a while back as gave it some consideration. However the wrap and price put me off. It was too much money, not a perfect car and I prefer the Grigio Alfieri original paint anyway. Pointless to buy at that price and remove the wrap with the risk of what is left behind. At a price much further south it could make sense.

I'd say there is a deal to be done as the seller won't be selling this easily at all.

Rockits - I guess the owner had no before photos prior to the wrap? I would expect decent wrappers and/or owners to have some photo evidence for situations like this.

Is there some "Journey of this Banana" type thread to see somewhere, or is this love based on meets etc ?

Based on meets more than anything. I know the car as nearly bought it from Dick Lovett way back in around 2010.....Then when MAF bought it saw it at a number of meets. My boys still mentions thier rides in it. Lovely GS.....

As awful as it sounds, one should insist on seeing the original paintwork. I agree there is too much tan inside too

The seller definitely had pics of the car before the wrap as they were included in the ad at the time. I'll see if I saved them as often save pics on ads of cars I'm interest in.

I can PM you the sellers email and number to contact. Nice chap and we did discuss a deal him taking a car from me maybe my 4200 I had back then in swap plus cash deal. Just felt it was too much money for me to be intestinal at the time.

Can't remember why he wrapped it but will look back at my emails to see.

I don't mind the wrap colour or the original colour....both very nice IMHO.

At 57 years old I think the beige interior is stunning and a winner for me.
With the colour of the wrap they go together nicely.
It would have looked Stunning in it's original glory too.

Phil, I agree the tan looks good, if the top of the dash and perhaps top of the door cards were black ( just to break the sea of tan up a little) then would look killa

This is mine - I’m now thinking about how much it would cost to retrofit the black piping...

So the only reason why no regular on here will buy MAF's GS, which we all agree is top notch and wants for nothing, is because it is MAF's banana and we're used to only him turning up in a furious assault on our senses?

I'm sure a psychologists would have a name for this.

I have to agree with Phil. Your piping looks subtle and much nicer like that. I think it would look too fussy with black piping.

I agree with Phil, Jon that you should leave yours as is. I also agree too much tan and lighter tops need some break up and black contrast. It was much of the reason I went for my 4200. Mix of tan and black.
