I am biased but the Gallardo is great, even an old Gallardo spyder faired well on the recent edition of Top gear. I would only go for the improved facelift LP cars with more power though!

I've driven a few Gallardos, they drive very old compared to the strad... And that gearshift.. engine and box feels like it's about to depart from the car on each change. Never driven a manual though, they'd be where I image the fun is.

The LP cars drive better and they are very different feel to a Strad, mainly due to the size and power delivery. The gated manual mated to 560bhp V10 is fun!
I am waiting for the right Strad to come along for sale.

We think the same way Maserati Mcstradale! There are certainly many great cars under £100k but.......

I often look at the Audi V10 Plus’s and I love the idea of the rigid cornering and blistering performance but a day into ownership, then what?? Nope, I’m sticking with the charismatic Stradale.
You are also right with me on the new generation Vanquishes but it‘s just a badge swap, it doesn’t offer anything over the Strad other than a change of scene.
Gallardo SLeg - great fun, just don’t want to wear a balaclava helmet and constantly tell people that ”it’s alright, it’s a driver’s car....”
Have already done the C63 thing. Awesome machines, I even did a 507 Edition estate search yesterday - none out there. The ‘Black’ is a total beast but sooo much more money for not enough more car.
Jaguar..... just not quite a Maser but a whole load of car for the cash. Always looking at those too!

For me I really think the AMG GT “R” is the only machine with the flair and theatre that gets close. It has the performance, the looks and of course the noise is such a massive part of why the Stradale works, so a big tick there too. There are a few advertised at just over £100k so for a sale we are kind of there on price but are we there on the whole adventure of ownership? Err, not quite.......

Mark.

Agree on he AMG GT R Mark. An amazing machine.....but as you say they are a good 40/50k more than the Stradale.....The Vanquish would be another choice...Sounds as good and quicker its that V12 but again you need 75k for an early one. The Stradale is the bargain of the bunch.

I think my pick of the bunch would be the Lamborghini Gallardo Superleggera. 79K it looks good value as a alternative to the MC Stradale. The v10 sounds brilliant too from the video. Its a lightweight edition with the nice carbon seats, carbon ceramic brakes etc so must be really fun to drive. Its also a rare car. Or even the facelift Gallardo is another good alternative.

What are people's take on a GT S 4.7 MC at circa £25-£30k compared to a Strad at £50-£60k?

The most important thing, apart from Stradale brings emotionally, is the fact that I could take a family of 4 across Europe for a centre parcs holiday... I struggle to come up with an alternative - which car could bring you this level of driver enjoyment, relatively comfortable and accommodate 4?

Whereas I think it is one for the best looking (if not the best looking) F car produced for a while
Not a great deal of competition there in terms of modern Ferrari.
Imho, there's an over emphasis on function rather than form. Pretty they ain't.

Also not a fan off the Ferrari FF. I think it looks like a clown shoe lol.

think i need to get my eyes tested. I think the F12, 458 and 488 look ok. Not quite up to QPV standards but a good attempt at styling
