Or in orbit.... Certainly better graphics than my old commodore 64....
Posh ! I had a Vic20 with a whole 3.5kb of memory. The days of Geoff Minter and Llamasoft style graphics have long gone.
Not so, Polybius and Tempest 4000 by Jeff Minter released in 2017 and 2018 respectively for PlayStation 4. The only real shame was the lack of VR support in both.
Not sure what the original video is from (Visit Scotland adverts?!), I’ve been playing quite a lot of Gran Turismo Sport recently too though, despite still working full time, it’s taking up a lot of my evenings, but then I’ve always been a gamer so lockdown hasn’t caused that, more sim racing coming more into view has encouraged it
For £1.99 in my youth you could buy a tape with this gem from yester year for the Vic20.
I have a fairly big video game collection, including a VIC20 in my attic actually (thought it's a little before my time). No Attack of the Mutant camels, or other llamasoft titles, or even tape drive for that matter though.
You missed the step of the anti-piracy check, fail, go back to reloading the game. You missed the joys of tape drive. Wait 15 mins before it loads up. Then one of three things happened.
- You got to play the game without issue.
- It failed to load and you had to start again.
- It loaded then crashed after a few minutes. Prompting a reboot and reload. 15 minutes later you might be able to play the game again.
